Five Gallery was conceived and founded by Igor Rucci and it has been operating in the Contemporary Art scene since 2013. Previously located in an elegant historic apartment in the historical center of Lugano, moved into the "future" in January 2023, creating its own space in the "Spatial" Metaverse.
Five Gallery wants to reassert the principle of Contemporary Art Collection through important exhibition and collections dedicated to the Masters of the 70’s and 80’s and to the innovative international creativity of young talents. Art Collectors shall freely interact with expressive values consolidated by contemporary art history and anticipate the discovery of new talents. The artists and artworks have been chosen according to a specific criteria and careful selection made by Andrea B. Del Guercio, Artistic Director of the Gallery.
Founder| Igor Rucci, Finance Expert and Art lover. After graduating from Luigi Bocconi University in Milan, he has been working in the Ticino finance scene holding various positions in the Management and Board of Administration of international holding companies and banks. Currently, he is President of SGR CONSULTING, active compliance and anti-laundering company, and of IRC, specialized company in human resources and start-up creation.
Art Director| Andrea B. Del Guercio, Art Critic and Chairholder of the Contemporary Art History Department and the Contemporary and Modern Sacred Art Department at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan, Italy. He covered numerous roles as Art Director in the international museum and exhibition circuits dedicating particular attention to the relations between art and anthropology. Commissioner for the International Venice Art Biennale in 1988 and for collateral events in 2005. Since 2007, he has been dealing with the complex issues tied to ‘a new approach in accessing the Art System’ acting as a scientific consultant in the creation of Contemporary Art Collections.
