GINEVRA TARABUSI
Ginevra Tarabusi is fascinated by the intimate nature of books, to be unveiled by leafing through them page after page. She creates mainly artist's books inspired by Classics and fairy tales. In her artistic practice she employs different techniques, from drawing to papier collé or sewing and painting using various materials, especially oil and acrylic. In her books, colour often becomes a real character, and layer after layer it comes to life, together with the figures that, originates from the stories, but soon become independent: "identity is lost in fantasy, in a synthesis" (Corvi, 2019). In her language we can recognize the influences of Amedeo Modigliani, Marc Chagall, Emanuele Luzzati and Antonio Possenti. She was awarded, among other prizes, the Equita Prize for Brera in 2019. Her works are part of the Artphilein Foundation and other refined private collection. Ginevra Tarabusi was born in Pavia in 1996. She is currently studying at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.
