NICOLAS STEINER

Inspired by classic iconography for figures, poses and colours Nicolas Steiner's work reveals the desire to transform the historical material into something personal. Hence the reference to expressionism that expands the pathos, accentuating mimicry and gestures, and the mark left by the artist who scratches the work, emphasizing contours and edges, as if he wanted to imprint his "existential" trace. Nicolas Steiner was born in Milan in 1996.
