The gallery

Founded in 2013 by Igor Rucci, Five Gallery chooses an innovative strategy combining art and investments in culture.

Artists and artworks are not selected in the customary market and among the imposed choices of well known circles, but looking for a wide range of new ideas and new works in the world's most vibrant artistic arenas. Five Gallery’s experts always travel around the world, in the United States, UK, Malaysia, Mesopotamia, Thailand, Morocco, Russia, and also Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and not least in the Canton Ticino, to identify lines of inspiration, innovative works and aesthetically valid Artists even though they’re not yet highly quoted in the common art commercial mechanism.

The exhibition formula is unusual: an elegant vintage apartment offering the appealing presentation of artworks as they will appear at home, instead of in a soulless loft, or uninhabitable garages and sheds.

Five Gallery’s collectors are enterprising and looking for their next object of desire beyond the usual and the trendy galleries. This passion doesn’t require a millionaire purchase but only two features: a pleasant artwork and a professional artistic background.

Out of the stereotypes of classical galleries is the idea of an affordable investment with a high potential and a completely new initiative: Five Gallery offers to its collectors a yearly bonus of 5 % for three years on the value of the purchased artwork.

This formula is very similar to a bond and applies even if the work is sold before the three years of guaranteed return. Through a small investment in a work that fits your house, you get a performance of 5% for three consecutive years: after this period the value will be determined by the market.

Investing in art is not an adventure: the contemporary art market has a worldwide turnover of 50 billion Euros, where few trendsetters and protagonists monopolize the choices and push the prices (even with no reason). It’s time for a change.
